THE FRAMEWORK
Read the mapping grid
This image demonstrates how a full-face grid helps you compare both brows before shaping.
1 - CENTRE LINE
HORIZONTAL GUIDES
Divide the face through the nose and cupid's
bow. Use this as the central comparison line not proof that both sides of the face are
identical.
Compare the upper height, brow body and lower
baseline across both sides. They reveal tilt,
height differences and uneven thickness.
VERTICAL GUIDES
DIAGONAL GUIDES
Check the inner starts, arch zones and outer
ends. Paired guides make spacing and overall
brow length easier to compare.
Use the nostril and outer eye region to estimate
the tail direction. Confirm that the tail supports
the natural brow and does not drop too low.
Numbering can vary between mapping systems - learn the purpose of each line, not only its number.
